Instagram doesn’t have to be hard, if you can mute the noise
Raise your hand if you've said any of these:
✋🏻 “Instagram is too hard.”
✋🏻 “The algorithm hates me.”
✋🏻 “This just isn't WORKINGGGG!”
I know, I know, I totally hear you. AND I fully get why you're thinking this way.
There are 1.2 kajillion Instagram gurus out there promising overnight success as long as you post at this time of day, use this trending audio, and follow their “proven” content pillar framework.
I've got better things to do than argue with these folks, but I hope you read me loud and clear here: If that was going to work for you, it would be working already!
I want you to leave all that shit in 2023, and start this year with a brand new perspective:
Instagram is a long game.
Yep, you read that right.
It's not about putting up one post (that you've obsessed over for 4 hours straight) and watching the sales roll in. It's about taking consistent, sustainable action over time. It's about building real relationships with your audience and (wait for it) actually being social on social media!
A few months ago, I started following a holistic transformation trainer on IG. One of her posts was super powerful - I saw myself in her content and once I did I couldn't unsee it. I went on to consume her content for two months before taking action. I reached out to learn more, but wasn't ready to pull the trigger.
Over time, I understood more about who she was and how she could help me. That steady intake of information built my trust and only then was I ready to take the next step and work with her.
What's the upshot here?
People buy from people, and you can't know a person from one reel.
When you stop expecting instant results, putting in the work feels WAY more doable and Instagram doesn't feel so fricken hard.
Let's shift the focus to clear messaging, strategic content, and sustainable action.
You with me??
