How much time are you spending on Content - Perspective from an Expert
I spend 18 hours a week on hockey-related tasks.
When I counted it all up I couldn’t really believe my math. (But I used a calculator and double checked it, so here we are.)
Between skate sharpening, driving to and from the rink, watching games and practices, and AIRING OUT THE HOCKEY BAGS, it adds up to a LOT of time. Like, if I had 18 more hours in my week, I’d be a millionaire by now. Probably.
So, I have to ask: How much time are you spending on your social media marketing?
Most days, you’re jotting down ideas in your notes app, taking b-roll 8 times in one sitting because it never looks the same as the reels you’re seeing, writing captions, and fighting with Canva graphics.
You’re trying to think strategically about your content: to understand what’s working and what’s not, how it all fits with your overall business goals, and how to get in front of the right people.
And if you’re anything like my clients, you’re also spending time feeling really damn uncertain.
“Does anyone even care about this?”
“Will anyone comment?”
“Is this actually getting my message across?”
“Are hashtags in or out, people?!?!?”
The thing that makes my part-time hockey mom job work for me is that I am 100% sure that it’s the right thing to do. My kids LIGHT UP on the ice and would probably spend more time playing hockey if it were humanly possible.
But when you’re spending hours on your Instagram while still feeling like you have no ever-loving idea what you’re doing and if it’s actually “working”, it’s just plain stressful.
So, if you ever feel like you just want to wave a magic wand and have someone do it all for you, then consider me your fairy social-mother. I love working with business owners to define their strategy, perfect their messaging, and create their share-worthy content.
